Arsenal opted not to strengthen their forward line during the summer, but they continue to be linked with some of Europe’s top strikers.

According to TeamTalk, Serbian international Dusan Vlahovic has emerged as a key target for the Gunners. After a tough start to the season with Juventus, Vlahovic could soon be available. Last season, the 24-year-old scored 16 goals in 33 Serie A appearances, but his form has dipped this campaign, despite scoring twice. He was substituted at half-time during Juve’s recent goalless draw against Napoli.

Reports from Corriere dello Sport suggest that Vlahovic may not be a good fit for new Juventus manager Thiago Motta’s playing style, contributing to his struggles. This situation could see Vlahovic placed on the transfer market. While Juventus demanded €80 million for him last summer, his value may decrease as his contract, which runs until 2026, edges closer to expiring.

Juventus reportedly want to extend Vlahovic’s contract until 2028 or 2029 with a €10 million annual salary, but negotiations have stalled, according to Calciomercato.

Arsenal currently rely on Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus in attack, with Raheem Sterling available as a loanee who can also play up front. If the right opportunity arises, the club could explore the market. They have also been linked to other strikers, including Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres, Lille’s Jonathan David, RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko, and Inter Milan’s Marcus Thuram.
