Barcelona are keeping a close eye on Celta Vigo defender Óscar Mingueza, with hopes of bringing him back to the club, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Mingueza, now 25, rose through Barça’s youth academy and made 66 appearances for the senior team before departing in 2022 due to the club’s financial struggles. However, Barça included a buy-back clause in the transfer, allowing them to re-sign him for €9 million before his contract with Celta expires in 2026.

Since joining Celta, Mingueza has become a key figure at Balaídos. This season, he’s been in impressive form, scoring two goals and providing three assists in just four games, earning him a call-up to the Spain squad during this international break. His strong performances have once again put him on Barça’s radar.
