Tottenham have signed Hayley Raso on a two-year deal after her contract with Real Madrid expired, the Women’s Super League (WSL) club announced on Sunday.
The 29-year-old winger, who will wear the No. 8 shirt, is no stranger to the WSL, having previously played for Manchester City and Everton.
“I’m absolutely delighted to be here,” Raso said. “The facilities are exceptional, and everyone I’ve met so far has been incredibly welcoming. I can’t wait to get started.”
Raso made 28 appearances during her one season with Real Madrid. On the international stage, she has scored 19 goals in 90 appearances for Australia since debuting at 17 in 2012.
She could make her Spurs debut on Sept. 22 when they face Crystal Palace in the opening game of the new WSL season.
