Liverpool manager Arne Slot has downplayed concerns over Mohamed Salah’s contract situation, insisting the star forward remains fully focused despite recent controversy.

Salah stirred speculation after openly expressing frustration over not being offered a new deal. Following his two-goal performance in Liverpool’s 3-2 victory against Southampton on Sunday, Salah candidly admitted he feels “more out than in” regarding his future with the club.

“Well, we’re almost in December, and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay at the club, so I’m probably more out than in,” Salah told reporters. His current contract is set to expire next summer.

Despite this, sources have told ESPN that discussions between Salah’s representatives and Liverpool are ongoing and have been described as positive.

When questioned about Salah’s remarks during his pre-match press conference ahead of Liverpool’s clash with Real Madrid, Slot remained unfazed. “I’ve said many times, I don’t share this view. If I look at my line-ups, Mo is definitely more in than out,” he remarked.
